New Nepenthes: Nepenthes izumeae
While visiting our nursery recently, I asked Charles Clarke his opinion on a plant that we had labeled N.singalana from Mt Talakmau in Sumatra. On seeing the pitchers and the plant he informed us that it was a new species in the process of being described. It was being named Nepenthes izumeae. He told us that the plant was being named after a friend of Troy Davis.
Here then is the first photo of N.izumeae in cultivation. One plant is in flower at present but they will be propagated as soon as possible after flowering.
More photos will follow. it is a highland species.
